The block of aluminum shown is an imperfect part. It is not square. Three sides are fairly close to square but one side is obviously not. However the surface on the slanted side has been machined and is presumed to be very flat and nicely finished The other four sides are mill finish and need to be machined. The task at hand is to machine an adjacent surface square to the existing machined surface. Using the vise shown in the previous page you can do this.
