6- 5- Fixed Cycles on the Mill -G76

G76 - fine boring cycle: G76 X1. Y1. Z-1.R.1 I-.002 F5 G98

This cycle leaves no witness mark in the hole by moving the tool away from the bored surface before retracting. The tool feeds down to the bottom of the bore and the spindle stops and orients itself (to the M19 position). Next, the tool retracts from the wall of the bore and rapids out of the hole.

New words are I and J and, depending on how the tool orients itself, they will determine how to move the tool away from the bored surface.

Note that I and J are simply clones of X and Y.

In other words I-.002 tells the controller to move the tool .002 in the -X direction. J.002 tells the controller to move the tool .002 in the +Y direction.
